Dorchester County Health Department partners with DOCO Pride for LGBTQ+ Health Awareness Week
CAMBRIDGE, Md. — The 23rd annual National LGBTQ+ Health Awareness Week kicks off today, with the Dorchester County Health Department teaming up with the DOCO Pride Chapter of Delmarva to raise awareness about the unique health challenges facing the LGBTQ+ community.
As part of the week-long observance, organizers are inviting people of all ages to attend a health and resource fair, which will feature a variety of resources and fun activities. Asiha Blake, a community health educator at the Dorchester Health Department, emphasized that the event is designed to both inform and entertain.
The resource fair will take place this Saturday, starting at 11 a.m. at The Packing House in Cambridge. It aims to provide attendees with valuable information and resources to support the health and well-being of the LGBTQ+ community.
