Upward Bound recruiting 9th, 10th graders

MARYLAND. – The Upward Bound program is hosting local high school students to set them up for success.

The program is recruiting 9th and 10th graders from Somerset and Wicomico counties.

The students will join leaders from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore to learn about the college experience and navigating financial aid.

Dr. Nicole Gale said participants will get an immersive experience, getting the chance to learn from Upward Bound alums who have benefited from the program.

“We actually help those students by going to visit different colleges and universities, showing them firsthand at what they could possibly be doing within their future careers,” said Dr. Gale.
