UPDATE: Police investigating apparent murder suicide in Delmar

3/17 UPDATE: Police have released the identities of the victim and suspect in this incident.

The victim has been identified as 42-year-old Tracie von Arx, and the suspect, who also committed suicide in this incident, has been identified as 56-year-old Larry von Arx.

DELMAR, Del. – Delaware State Police say they are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Delmar.

Shortly after 9 a.m. Thursday, troopers were called to the 10000 block of Country Grove Circle for a death investigation. At the scene, troopers reportedly found a 42-year-old woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, and a 56-year-old man suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation remains active.
