Dorchester County announces burn ban amid growing fire risk

CAMBRIDGE, Md.  — Going into effect starting March 13th, Dorchester County will officially impose an open burning ban due to an alarming increase in brush and wood fires and dry vegetation across the region.

The ban will remain in effect until further notice. County officials encourage residents to report any suspected violations of the ban to local authorities.
