ACLU of Delaware sends letter to all Del. universities, urging rejection of federal censorship actions
DELAWARE – The ACLU of Delaware has sent an open letter to colleges and universities statewide, urging them to reject the Trump administration’s attempted censorship of students and faculty.
The letter comes following executive orders and statements from the White House pushing for schools to monitor and report noncitizen students, putting their educations and futures at risk.
ACLU-DE is calling on Delaware institutions to uphold the First Amendment rights of everyone on college campuses. They also released “Know Your Rights” materials specifically for immigrant students and families earlier this year.
