TidalHealth to hold HealthFest
SALISBURY, Md. – TidalHealth will be partnering with the Salisbury Fire Department to present this year’s HealthFest.
HealthFest is a chance for people of all ages to learn how healthy they are and find out what they can do to live a more active and healthy lifestyle.
It will be held at the Salisbury Fire Department Headquarters Station 16 on March 15 from 9 am to noon.
The event will feature 50 exhibits and will include screenings, healthy living booths as well as presentations and demonstrations.
“A lot of people don’t know how healthy they are, they don’t regularly get their bloodwork and maybe they don’t even routinely see a doctor,” said Kat Rogers, Director of Community Health Initiatives at TidalHealth, “so this is an opportunity to get bloodwork and to talk to people and learn more about health and what you can do to have a healthy life.”
The event will feature special demonstrations including a YMCA fitness class, a mini ballroom dance style lesson and a Tai Chi demo from Park’s Martial Arts.
It will also have a Kid’s Corner featuring a Teddy Bear Clinic.
