Arrest made in Caroline Co. parking lot shooting

GREENSBORO, Md. – The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office says they have made an arrest in a parking lot shooting that took place earlier this month in Greensboro.

On Monday, deputies arrested 47-year-old Jeffery Smith Sr., of Baltimore in connection to the incident. Throughout the investigation, Smith was identified as the individual in the surveillance footage, firing shots at an individual who was fleeing the scene.

Smith was charged with first and second degree assault, possession of a handgun in a vehicle, possession of a loaded handgun in a vehicle, and reckless endangerment. He was held without bond.
