Police: Man sought after early morning shooting

Police are searching a Milford man they say shot a Lincoln man early Saturday morning.

According to Delaware State Police, 24-year-old James Satcher is suspected of shooting an unidentified 34-year-old man just before 3 a.m. Saturday near the 10000 block of Crescent Shores Drive.

The victim was reportedly shot from behind in the upper torso area while he was seated in the living room of his home.

An initial investigation has revealed the victim was inside the home with two other people when Satcher reportedly arrived with an unidentified woman. Police say at some point during the night, a physical altercation occurred between the woman who had arrived with Satcher and another woman who was also in the home.

We’re told the the victim ordered Satcher and the woman he had brought to the house to leave.

According to authorities, Satcher returned about 30 minutes later and fired “several rounds” from an unknown make and model gun into the home before he allegedly fled. We’re told the victim was struck; however, there were no other reported injuries.

Police say Satcher is 5’11” tall, weighs 195 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.

Detectives have obtained warrants charging Satcher with first degree assault, two counts of first degree reckless endangering, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a person prohibited.
