some sports and spenser.. first couple preseason games are in the books.. and the eagles, already got a tough break yeah they’ve had just 1 preseason game against the bucs.. had a couple bright spots that fans and the team were excited about.. well they just got some rough news today the eagles announced today that quarterback carson wentz will be sidelined, after suffering a hairline fracture in his ribs against tampa bay. and that was the last news that philly fans wanted to hear after they picked this guy 2nd overall in this years draft now he isn’t expected to miss a ton of time.. in fact, the team hopes to have him back before the end of the preseason.. but he’s definitely going to miss some valuable reps in the mean time in thursdays game, he finished completeing 12 of his 24 passes for 89 yards, while throwing one pick and the orioles were on the road last night as they were taking on the giants and a good start for baltimore in this one 2nd inning, and adam jones sends that one to right field for a rbi base knock that gave them a 2 run lead.. and they weren’t done just yet 3rd inning now, and a man on for mark trombo.. and he gets all of that one! a 2 run blast to left.. his 33rd home run of the season and the o’s still pushing chris davis at the plate.. and crush gets ahold of that one he goes deep for teh 24th time this year and the lead was more than enough for the pitching zach britton would close it out as the o’s get the win, 5-2 the final on to the bigs the nationals were taking on the braves tonight atlanta came to play in this one tpo of the first, and freddie freeman sends that one deep to right center it drops in for a rbi double to get it started then in the 2nd, this would happen jace peterson at the dish, he turns on that one and it is gone rough outting for stephen strasburg… he went 5 plus, giving up 6 earned off 7 hits washington trying to help him out though anthony rendon… with a man on.. and thta’s gone for a 2 run shot got his team within 1.. but the braves kept on coming 3-run shot to left for freeman atlanta goes on to take this one, 8-5 the final and the phillies were taking on the rockies tonight philly taking advantage of some colorado mis-cues early on pass ball allows peter bourojos to take off and score on the play that gave philly a 2 run lead.. but back come the rockies nolan arenado sends that one deep enough to right field for a sac fly but the biggest swing of the game came in the 5th.. and it came courtesy ryan howard bases loaded.. base loaded no-longer the grand slam his 17th long ball of the year gave the phillies a 4 run lead and they have been rolling from there last checked, they were up 10-4 in the 8th alright, and now its time for your play of the day for this one, we head over to the pirates and dodgers game and check this out josh harrison slices that one to right.. keeps carrying and looks like it is going to get out of here but not so fast! josh reddick climbs the wall and makes the catch to rob him of the home run! nicely done that’s it for sports. good news is just ahead- keep it right here — you’re watching 47 abc – delmarva’s trust source for
