Town of Easton implementing Snow Emergency

EASTON, Md. – The Town of Easton is implementing its Snow Emergency Plan, effective at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

No parking is permitted on streets in any metered parking space or in any location with posted “No Parking During Snow Emergency” signs. Any vehicle parked in these designated areas at the time a Snow Emergency is declared will be subject to towing at the owner’s expense.

The following areas are designated Snow Emergency routes:

  • All of Washington Street: North Easton Parkway to Lee Terrace
  • Dover Street: Higgins Street to Municipal Lot beyond the District Court building
  • West Street: Bay Street to Glenwood Avenue
  • Federal Street: Washington Street to West Street
  • Harrison Street: Goldsborough Street to South Lane
  • Goldsborough Street: Washington Street to Aurora Street
  • Idlewild Avenue: Aurora Street to Washington Street
  • Glenwood Avenue: North side of street only from Washington Street to Easton Parkway

At this time, the Town of Easton Public Works Department does not anticipate any interruptions in trash pickup. Pickup of recycling will be dependent on the Town’s private contractor. Residents are asked to place all bins just off the street so it does not impede plowing operations.
