La Esperanza and Haitian Coalition released the Thriving Newcomers Report for Sussex County

GEORGETOWN Del. – La Esperanza and the Haitian Coalition of Delaware unveiled the Thriving Newcomers Report. This comprehensive study examined the state of immigrant and newcomer communities in Sussex County.

According to the report, health care, education, and immigration are huge concerns. Officials tell WMDT, this community forum allows engagement between organizations and residents of vulnerable populations.

“We look at what is the state of our communities now, and how we can involve them in the community development process, that will highlight what their needs are, but also the opportunities they have in the community.”
