Hit-and-run crash claims life of 93-year-old Camden man
CAMDEN, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating an early morning hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a Camden man.
At around 6:30 a.m., police say an unknown vehicle was driving southbound on South Dupont Highway, approaching Caboose Lane. At the same time, a pedestrian was walking eastbound, crossing the southbound lanes of South Dupont Highway, when he was allegedly hit by the unknown vehicle. The vehicle did not stop and continued driving southbound.
Police say the pedestrian, a 93-year-old Camden man, was hit by additional vehicles that also did not stop. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
