Wor-Wic receives grant from U.S. Department of Transportation

SALISBURY, Md. – Representative Andy Harris recently announced the award of a $64,655 grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to Wor-Wic Community College.

We’re told this is a discretionary grant through the Commercial Motor Vehicle Operator Safety Training Grant Program, which strives to expanding the number of commercial driver license (CDL) holding possessing enhanced operator safety training and assist veterans and their spouses to receive training to transition to the commercial motor vehicle industry.

Wor-Wic offers commercial drivers license training for Class A and Class B driver’s exams, preparing students for professions driving 18-wheelers or other commercial trucks. They also offer courses to obtain school bus and passenger endorsements.
