The Freeman Arts Pavilion is receiving new renovations

SELBYVILLE, Del. – The Freeman Arts Pavillion is getting new renovations to the stage and performance area.

Organization officials are working with Gillis Gilkerson on the project.

They hope to build a new stage for the outdoor venue to enhance the experience for concertgoers and performers.

Gillis Gilkerson, Project Executive Dwight Miller, states this is the start of something great.

“Music enhances people’s lives. Very introverted young people start on musical stages, and in a few years, they grow. Their self-esteem and projection get so much better.” It enhances people to get the chance to experience music.”

The stage will be 42 feet tall and 100 feet long. The goal is to have the infrastructure to support state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems.
