LAUREL, Del. – Laurel plans to revitalize its downtown area and bring more affordable housing. The Laurel Redevelopment Corp is partnering with Nally Ventures to build a 28-unit duplex housing project.
They are calling the units, ‘The Promenade’, LRC will also build four new homes in the historic area of South Central Avenue.
The projects are a part of the bigger initiative known as the Ramble, described as a plan that aims to bring vibrancy to Laurel.
Executive Director, Brian Shannon tells WMDT, this is all about making Laurel an even better place to live.
“Our homes will reflect the historical architecture and the nature of other homes already in Laurel. We’re putting a spin on the homes we’re building as affordable homes based on how we want them to look.”
