H.S. Football Preview: Indian River Indians

The Indian River Indians should be one of the scariest teams in the Henlopen South this season, after a 4-6 season a year ago, IR is now into year two of the Phillip Townsend experience.

One of the most intriguing battles in camp is the battle at the quarterback position. Whoever finds their way under center will inherit one of the richest backfields in the conference. IR returns bruising All-South running back George Martin and speedy scat back Gerald Foreman. Last year, they split time, this year, the dynamic duo will be on the field together alot more, causing headaches for defenses.

IR’s season kicks off at home on Friday, September 11th at 7 pm, when they host Linganore of Frederick County in Maryland.
