Cooking with Lynn: Roasted Chestnuts

WMDT – It’s Thursday and that means we are back in Lynn Matava’s kitchen.

Lynn is a Nutrition Educator with the University of Maryland Extension.

If you want to roast a few chestnuts this winter, then Lynn has the perfect recipe for you.

Chestnuts do require a bit of labor to open due to the hard shell, but Matava has a simple and easy way for you soak them.

You can pre-peel them or allow your guests to peel them, but Lynn warns that due to their high moisture content they should be eaten shortly after roasting.
