The Delmarva Discovery Museum hosts ‘Santa’s Train Wonderland’ event
POCOMOKE CITY, Md. – The Delmarva Discovery Museum hosted its sixth annual Santa’s Train Wonderland event. This event acts as a fundraiser for the museum and admission was free.
Discovery Museum, Executive Director Christy Gordon loves putting this event together. “Everybody loves Christmas; it’s a great event for the kids to run around and be happy. They are giving their lists to Santa, and we love it.”
This Christmas tradition brings children and families together. Gordon believes this event is a great way to keep the operation running.
“Every dollar spent or donated today goes right back into the museum. It will take care of the animals, maintenance, new programming, and all kinds of stuff.”
The City of Pocomoke inspired the train displays and Santa spread holiday cheer. Betty Burgert of the Pocomoke Area Motor Train Club said the group can get inspired by many things.
“This event is open to the public, free of charge. The Polar Express scene depicted on the display is from the movie.”
Another member of PAMTC, Paul Becker hopes everyone enjoys this wonderful season
“Wonderful things are happening in the surrounding Pocomoke area. We want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy holiday, no matter what you celebrate, come out and visit.”
