One arrested for threat made to Caesar Rodney High School

CAMDEN, Del. – Delaware State Police have arrested a suspect following a school threat earlier this week.

We’re told on Tuesday that the School Resource Officer assigned to Caesar Rodney High School was contacted about a threat of violence made toward the school via social media to our text message. Additional law enforcement responded to the school to ensure everyone’s safety.

Further investigation led detectives to identify 18-year-old Malik Cooper as the suspect who made the threat. Cooper turned himself in to police the following day and was charged with terroristic threatening – reckless disregard, risk, inconvenience to a school. He was later released on his own recognizance.
