One injured in Talbot Co. apartment fire

ST. MICHAELS, Md. – Fire marshals say one person was injured in an apartment fire Tuesday afternoon in Talbot County.

Crews were called to an apartment building at 109 Plummber Drive just after 3:30 p.m. for a reported fire. It was learned that the victim was cooking when the contents of a cooking pot spilled over, causing the grease in the pot to ignite. The victim sustained burns during the process of removing the pot from the building.

Total damage was estimated at $200,000.
