Easton house fire deemed accidental

EASTON, Md. – An Easton house fire has been ruled accidental by Maryland State Fire Marshals.

We’re told the first was reported just after 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at 366 Glebe Road. Firefighters battled the blaze for roughly 1.5 hours before bringing it under control.

Maryland State Fire Marshals responded to the scene and determined that the owner was cooking on a grill adjacent to the outside of the home, at which point surrounding common combustibles reportedly ignited, causing the fire to spread to the home. Total damage was estimated at $150,000.
