Traffic stop leads to arrest of wanted Seaford man

GEORGETOWN, Del. – Delaware State Police say a Seaford man was arrested Sunday afternoon following a traffic stop in Georgetown.

At around 12:30 p.m., a trooper on patrol reportedly saw a Dodge Dart pass a vehicle on the right in the area of Seashore Highway and Wilson Hill Road. The trooper subsequently stopped the car and met with the driver, identified as 22-year-old Enrique Azuara, who was found to have a suspended driver’s license and capias warrants for his arrest. Inside the Dodge, police allegedly found 4.50 grams of methamphetamines, half of an oxycodone pill, a broken scale that was damaged by Azuara during the stop, plastic containers, and $1,976 in suspected drug money.

Azuara was charged with three counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, passing on the right, driving while suspended or revoked, and possession of a suspended license. He was held at SCI on a $5,802 secured bond.
