Troopers in Easton are investigating a fatal crash in Denton, that claimed the life of a 6-year-old boy.
According to Maryland State Police from the Easton Barrack, on Sunday 44-year-old Shamin Mujaddadi of Hyattsville was driving an Acura west on Route 317 approaching the intersection at Route 313 around 10:50 PM. At the same time investigators say, a Toyota driven by 41-year-old Jason Movsesian, of Greensboro was traveling north on the same road and hit the Acura, after Mujaddadi apparently failed to stop at a red flashing traffic light. The impact of the crash reportedly caused the Acura to run into a light pole.
A 6-year-old boy who was strapped in a child safety seat in the back of the car was critically injured and flown to John Hopkins, where he reportedly succumbed to his injuries the next morning. The other three passengers of the Acura including a 4-year-old all reportedly refused treatment.
Investigators say, Movsesian was also flown to Shock Truama for non life threatening injuries.
Troopers say charges are pending against Mujaddadi .
