New drop in facility celebrates grand opening
MILFORD, Del. – A drop-in facility in Milford, dedicated to helping out the homeless, had it’s grand opening Friday.
It is the newest Brandywine Counseling and Community Services facility. The facility allows people in need to drop in and grab something to eat, take a shower, or even receive training for job interviews.
This facility has been in operation for a few months now and we’re told its already having a positive impact in Milford.
“We’ve helped quite a few people get jobs, get back on their feet so they could provide for their families, and just be helpful to the community,” said Paul Rowland, the peer recovery clinical supervisor.
The drop in center is open to the public from 7 AM to 3 PM every day.
