The University of Maryland Eastern Shore partners up with United Airlines

SALISBURY, Md. – The University of Maryland Eastern Shore and United Airlines have announced a new partnership. The partnership will provide UMES aviation students with a direct path to a career as a professional pilot.

In the agreement, students can apply to United’s aviate program, and if accepted, would receive a conditional job offer as a United Airlines pilot.

UMES President, Heidi Anderson hopes this partnership will give students a streamlined and consistent path to success.

“What this partnership does, is it brings an opportunity for two institutions to bring a seamless path for our students. Hopefully to become pilots working for United Airlines.”

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore is the fifth Historically Black College and University to partner with United Aviate.
