Wicomico County Public Library is having a book sale

Friend's Foundation Book Sale

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – The Wicomico County Public Library is selling some of its gently used and donated books.

The “Friends Foundation Book Sale” is done three times a year as a fundraiser to raise money for things like the community sports center or new locations. They have everything from fiction to reference books and have plenty of choices for children.

Volunteer Coordinator Untia Bigelow says they’ve been doing this for over a decade, and each year they try to raise more and more. “So, there’s nothing over $2. All children’s books are a dollar, paperbacks $2, we have games that are around $5 . . . So last year we made about $6,536. So, we are hoping to beat that this year, let’s make it a whole $7,000, that’s what we want.”

The book sale will take place at the Wicomico County Public Library in Downtown Salisbury from 10AM to 4:30PM on Friday and Saturday.
