football tour. yeah at this point im gonna be honest, im ready for some live action to get here, and that’ll happen on friday but before then we have 8 more teams to dive into. and the program highlighted tonight has had its share of success throughout the years. the kent island bucs are in year two of the damien feragamo era and are confident amongst whispers of a down season. track year after year, the kent island buccaneers are one of the top programs the bayside conference has to offer. at the end of the 2014 season, after a crushing loss to dunbar in the final seconds of the 2a east regional championship, head coach byron sofonowski stepped down, and damien feragamo emerged. in his first season as bucs head coach, he kept the bus rolling with another playoff appearance. coach feragamo he’s a tough coach, but he does it to get you better. well we justave to keep working hard constantly, i think thats why we’ve been successful in the past with coach sofinowski before me, and i try to carry on what he instilled in them and thats just a good work ethic and try to outwork everybody we play. track known for their physical, downhill running game, the bucs will try to open up in the air a little bit more with new starter jordan marciano. i know this year we’re trying to get better throwing the ball, and we’ve shown that in the preseason. not only is our quarterback doing better, we have a pretty skilled group of receivers. track so even when the bucs dont have the seasoned bayside names you’ve heard of, they’re still confident they have the guys to get the job done. were definitely younger, we only have like 11 or 12 seniors, but i think we’ll be pretty good. it all lays at the hands of the players you know? how hard we want to work and how dedicated we are to having a good season. we defintely have the talent to be successful, just as successful as we’ve been, hopefully take the next step but its all about the work you put in. the bucs begin their season on friday, when they travel to take on bayside north foe colonel richardson. and of course its monday so that means its racing night here at 47abc. some great weather this weekend brought out a lot of racers to the us 13 dragway for the 53rd memorial anniversary show of william and juanita cathell. lets take a look at some of the winners. roland byrd of salisbury got his first win of the season in the pro-bike competition, and how about race veteran john ennis of pocomoke making and taking his first final of the year in the top et division. and number one on the 302 list this week, takii smith of cambridge. some other winners were chad thurman, bill mclamb, sara davis, brett holstein, and carter foskey. congrats to all winners on another safe, successful night. time for our play of the day, were headed, to a cornfield? yes that’s because cleveland cavalier superfans kelly and greg clement did the unthinkable, they created a corn maze on their farm in brunswick, ohio. the maze? it shows in the image of lebron james, next to the words, homegrown hero. also shows the champs slogan believeland and the larry o’brien championship trophy. that’s it for sports. your hollywood headlines are just ahead- keep it right here — you’re watching 47 abc! catch more of the action on our sports page at 47abc.com hairstyles brought
