Dorchester County Health Department starting winter clothing drive

 

DORCHESTER, COUNTY Md. – The Dorchester County Health Department is kicking off its winter clothing drive, they are currently accepting the most needed gently used items. This includes adult socks, scarves, winter jackets, and fleece blankets.

The Program Manager for DCHD Healthy Families Valerie Davis said the goal is to keep people in need cozier and safer.

“I know we’ll be able to help more than one person, but any homeless person who comes through our doors or our way, even if I see someone on the street, I know I will have something to give them.”

Donating items can be dropped off at the Dorchester County Health Department front desk at 3 Cedar Street in Cambridge.
