H.S. Football Preview: Cape Henlopen Vikings

The Cape Henlopen football team is looking for a return to the playoffs in 2016 following a couple of back to back seasons of just missing out on the post season. The Vikings finished 5-4 last year, but lost their final 2 conference games to miss out on the playoffs.
Cape will be looking to build off of some of the returning talent the team has, including at quarterback where senior Dillon Adams is back under center. The Vikings should have a strong opportunity to run down hill behind what has proven to be a big and veteran front. Cape will have a few running backs to choose from this season, including Rasheed Woods and Kolbi Wright who both showed play making ability a year ago. The Vikings biggest challenge will come from simply slowing down some of the other high scoring teams in conference and defending the spread. The team has added speed to their corners and hope their improved defensive ends can cause more problems this year for opposing quarterbacks than before.
The Vikings open up their season on September 10th when they travel to play Lower Cape May.
