Claire Snyder-Hall wins Delaware’s 14th Representative District
DELAWARE – In Delaware’s Representative District 14, the race has been called by the New York Times in favor of Democratic candidate Claire Snyder-Hall, who holds 55.46% of the vote.
Snyder-Hall beats out Mike Simpler by a margin of roughly 1,700 votes. She opened up in the lead with early and absentee ballots and never looked back.
Snyder-Hall will be replacing Representative Peter Schwartzkopf, who held the seat for over 20 years.
“I’m just excited that the people of this district have decided to send me to Dover, the first woman ever nominated or ever selected to be the representative for this district. We’re really looking at generational change and I’m real excited to be part of the new faces that will be representing Delaware,” she said, adding that she is eager to get started on voting reform in Delaware.
