Burn Ban extended indefinitely in Wicomico Co.

WICOMICO CO., Md. – Wicomico County officials have extended the county-wide Burn Ban until further notice.

All outdoor burning activities and the use of personal home-based fireworks are prohibited. A few exceptions include gas and charcoal grills used properly, campfires at Roaring Point and Sandy Hill campgrounds, recreational campfires on private property and public campgrounds limited to 2 feet wide and 3 feet tall, and the staging of professional fireworks displays.

The ban will be lifted when dry conditions improve.
