UPDATE : Arrests made in shooting incident at Dover High School
DOVER, Del. – Police have made two arrests following reports of shots fired at Dover High School Friday evening.
Dover Police have arrested 27-year-old Kameron Scott and 20-year-old Tony Benson Jr., in connection to the incident, which took place following a football game.
According to police, a large fight broke out at the entrance, and while responding to break up the fight, officers reportedly saw Scott fire a handgun. Scott and Benson Jr. ran to a nearby apartment complex and were taken into custody after a foot chase. Officers also allegedly found a handgun in the area where Scott ran from Officers.
Both suspects were taken to the Dover Police Department to be processed and arraigned.
Scott’s charges included felony possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm in a school zone, and inciting a riot.
Benson Jr. was released, but his charges include inciting a riot and resisting arrest.
No one was injured during the incident.
