Salisbury firefighter honored

SALISBURY, Md. – Sergeant Ben Koons was honored as the 2024 Firefighter of the Year for the Salisbury Fire Department.

Sgt. Koons was nominated by his fellow firefighters to receive one of the department’s highest honors. Koons is known for his commitment to the community and willingness to go the extra mile.
