Early morning crash claims life of pedestrian in Queen Anne’s Co.
CHESTERTOWN, Del. – Maryland State Police are investigating an early morning crash that claimed the life of a pedestrian in Queen Anne’s County.
Just after 6 a.m., troopers responded to the area of Route 213 at Route 544 for a reported crash involving a pedestrian. The investigation revealed that, for unknown reasons, the pedestrian reportedly walked across the roadway and was hit by a passenger vehicle.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured and remained at the scene.
