Police investigating shooting in Capitol Park
DOVER, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating after one person was shot in Capitol Park Saturday night.
Police say they responded to reports of a shooting at 7:25 p.m. at the 100 block of S. Governors Boulevard.
According to police, the victim, a 17-year-old male, and an acquaintance were approached outside by the suspect, who was searching for the victim.
The suspect shot the victim in the leg then fled the scene.
The 17-year-old was transported to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.
The suspect is described only as a black male.
