Gov. Hogan honors Piezano’s Pizza

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Governor Larry Hogan got to chow down on some pizza on the boardwalk on Friday while celebrating Piezano’s Pizza.

Governor Hogan honored the pizza joint, along with Dolle’s Candyland, with a citation from the state of Maryland.

The longtime pizza favorite has been a staple on the boardwalk for decades, and it’s something that Hogan says he personally always looks forward to.

Hogan says that honoring businesses who have stayed in Ocean City and made an impact there is what the citations are all about.

“These are like real institutions that people come every year for decades, they bring their kids, and their grandkids back to, and we just recognize these families that have worked so hard and they’re such a big part of the Ocean City tradition,” Governor Hogan said.

Some officials that joined Governor Hogan on Friday even said Piezano’s rivals famous new york pizza.
