weeks into the fall sports season now.. starting to get a better idea of how our teams look, and we had a pretty good matchup going on this afternoon. yeah that’s right bennett and parkside facing off in a little field hockey no matter what the sport is, its always fun with these two schools and they had a pretty good game going on this afternoon bennett’s field hockey team was looking to climb back over 500 on the year this afternoon as they faced off against cross town rival parkside. as for what else oyu can look forward to later on tonight couple other good matchups across the shore including queen anne’s field hockey team who is at home facing off against crisfield while colonels boys soccer team will be looking for a conference win as well as they take on north caroline we’ll be at each of those games and have full highlights for you later on tonight and some good news today for the s-u field hockey team with the release of this weeks coaches polls the sea gulls climbed 1 spot, coming in at number 6 in the country now that comes despite their tough 3-2 loss to messiah that dropped the gulls to 4-1 on the year, with a chance to bounce back on saturday in their home opener against cabrini and the s-u men’s soccer team is back in action this afternoon as they hit the road for their matchup with washington college the sea gulls came into this thing undefeated on the year at 2-0-1 and they look like they may be on their way to another win as they are holding on to a 1-nil lead right now late in teh second half thanks to a goal from score dolph hegewisch, and wesley’s field hockey team is back on the field this afternoon as well as they made the trip over to keystone been a bit of a tough start to the year for the wolverines as they entered this one with a 1-3 overall record tough start righ tnow for the wolverines as they are trailing 1-nil in teh second half that’s it for sports – more news and weather straight ahead. stay with us. catch more of the action on our sports page at 47abc.com here’s a look
