Fenix Youth Project Inc. to protest during Third Friday

A local group called the Fenix Youth Project Incorporated is planning to put on a protest during this weeks Third Friday event in Salisbury.

Founder, Amber Green said the goal of the peaceful protest is to raise awareness and provoke dialogue about people of all colors who have lost their lives to police brutality and those she said have been failed by the country’s legal system.

The main part of the protest will be in the courtyard outside of the old parker place.

Green said if people are curious about what’s going on, don’t be afraid to ask someone.

“There’s a fear of asking questions, there’s a fear of sounding racist or a fear of sounding stupid, bring that up because if you’re ignorant because you chose not to learn then that’s where the problem is really because you’re choosing to be ignorant, ask the question that you have,” Green said.

Green said if you want to find out more about the protest you can message them on their Facebook page here.
