Hogan to deliver remarks on health department cancer plan

(AP) – Gov. Larry Hogan will be discussing the Maryland health department’s cancer plan.

The governor also is scheduled on Thursday to attend the second annual blood cancer awareness community blood drive.

Last year, the Hogan administration hosted an American Red Cross blood drive at the capitol.

The governor has had his own battle with cancer. He was diagnosed with Stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma last year. He underwent aggressive treatment and announced he was in complete remission in November.
