Wicomico Public Library sponsors the ‘The River Runs Through Us’ displays on the Wicomico Riverwalk until October 12th

SALISBURY, Md – The Salisbury Riverwalk art walk is now open, a collection of visual art and poetry is called ‘The River Runs Through Us’ and is sponsored by the Wicomico Public Library and the Salisbury Public Arts Committee.

The art will celebrate the Wicomico River, which is an essential part of the Salisbury community, and features selected women artists from the Eastern Shore. It will include artists like Susan Holt, Nancy Mysak, Laura Kelley, among others.

Wicomico Public Library Executive Director, Seth Hershberger, said this will bring the spotlight to the local arts downtown.

“This is a beautiful spot here in our city, and it’s right across from the library so we’re just trying to encourage people to come out but we’re also wanting to partner with local artists and make sure art is accessible and anyone who lives here can enjoy it.”

The city will host a ribbon cutting and celebration tomorrow at the Riverwalk Games Park from 5 to 6:30 for a reception. There will be light refreshments and live music.

The art walk will remain open until October 12th.
