Cape Henlopen Field Hockey Edges CR

The Cape Henlopen field hockey team pulled out a road win Thursday afternoon when they defeated Caesar Rodney 3-0. The win improves the Vikings to 2-0, while the loss drops the Riders to 0-3.

Cape would take an early lead in the match after Annie Judge would fire a shot into the back of the cage. Then before the half was done, Cape would double their lead off a score from Jacqueline Cannon. The defense would lock in from there for the Riders as Lauren Caulk would come up with several great saves. Eventually the Vikings would find the back of the cage one more time after Darby Klopp would put one home.

Cape returns to action on Tuesday when they host Dover, while Caesar Rodney host Sussex Central on Thursday.
