Salisbury University opens ‘Sammy Stash’ a secondhand shop for students

Sammy Stash Now Open

SALISBURY, Md – Students can now go shopping on campus, Sammy’s Stash is a secondhand shop for all Salisbury University students. It works as an expansion to the “Give and Go” program.

The store is geared toward shoes, clothes, and other essential goods for students. All the items are recirculated back into the SU community.

Sammy’s Stash funding came from SU’s Strategic Innovation Fund. The store is appointment only and is located in Dogwood Village Unit J, Room 9.

Item donations can be dropped off, outside the address, or in the drop-off shed.

SU, recycling coordinator, Rachael Faust, said this is all about keeping the community at the forefront. “All of the things were very college-specific so we thought giving it back to the students would be the best solution.”

There have been talks to make the shop a pop-in, for students a couple of days out of the week.
