Harry K. Foundation to hold ‘Fashion for Charity’ event in Rehoboth

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – Everyone is invited to join the Harry K. Foundation for a fun evening of fashion, food, and friendship.

The Girls Night Out ‘Fashion for Charity’ event will take place Wednesday, October 16th from 6 to 9 pm. at Schellville Village in Rehoboth Beach, located at 36470 Seaside Outlet Drive in Rehoboth Beach, DE. The rain date is Thursday, October 17, 2024.

The event will feature a number of local fashion boutiques showcasing their clothing all to benefit the Harry K. Foundation’s mission to defeat childhood hunger in Delaware.

Harry K. board member Robyn Rosenfeld-Aburrow tells us that the event is entering its second year and that attendees can expect to take part in a very fun-filled evening for such a great cause.

“This year will be bigger than last year,” Robyn explained. “We have 29 retailers, every clothing store you can think of from Wilmington to Fenwick. We will have food, we will have a martini bar.”

That’s just some of the many exciting things the event will feature. There will also be a grab-bag gift card raffle where, for only $20, attendees can chose a bag that contains gift cards that range anywhere from $25 to $800. There will also be another raffle for a chance to win a $1,000 gift card courtesy of Harry K. Jewelers.

While the event will be full of fun stuff to do, it’s important to remember the purpose of it. All proceeds from tickets sales, and a portion from the vendors, will go to fight childhood hunger. One in five children face food insecurity, and it’s events like this that help relieve the burden that some families face.

The Harry K. Foundation established and funds 52 pantries inside schools and other facilities throughout Delaware.

“We always think about sending money overseas to help all these other kids around the world, and we don’t realize that we have starving children, right here, next door to us, in our neighborhoods, in our communities,” explained David Pearce, the fashion show’s producer. “We need to take care of those kids too, and so it’s just a blessing to see.”

WMDT News Anchor Rob Petree will be hosting the event.

Tickets are on sale now and can purchased for $48 by clicking here. The event is also still in need of volunteers and models, for more information visit: https://harrykfoundation.org/events/upcoming-events/girls-night-out/.
