Wicomico County School District adopt new Bus Tracker App

MARYLAND – The Wicomico County School District has a new way to keep up with your child’s whereabouts with a new Bus tracker app.

The Edulog Mobile App will give parents a way to track their child’s school bus on the way to and from school. Desmond Hughes is the district district’s director of transportation. He says parents have been requesting this for years, and he wanted to make sure that the kid’s safety would be maintained before moving forward.

You must have your student’s personal information to access the app, and he says, in this age of technology, it is a must to keep parents updated. “Students are having to put themselves on the bus because parents have gone to work, you know before the bus has arrived, and so this equips parents with the information to know when the bus is in route to their bus stop, also when the bus has picked up and departed their bus stop.”

He says this gives parents an ease of mind and the app is free and not hard to use at all. “That’s the app, edulog parent portal. You open it up you can track a child once you register a child… you can see actually where this student’s bus is located, as well as where I’m located, and the student’s school.” Director Hughes says they opened the app last week and they already have over 1100 parents who have created accounts, and they expect the model to be a success.
