2024 Football Previews: Laurel Bulldogs

LAUREL, Del. – Laurel is ready to take on their second season in class 2A – as head Coach Joey Jones is looking to replace Owen Chaffinch, Xavier Limehouse, and Brandon Rife.

Jones gives credit for the improving culture to the players buying in to the program – along with players leading by example like Kei’shaun​ Copes, Koby Shockley, Tate Walls, and Asante Lofland.

Jones believes even though their greatest weakest might be that there is a lot of young talent, he knows that the players will be in the program for years to come and will be the foundation for successful years to come.

Competing against two 3A schools in 2024 – it’s a great test to see whether the Bulldogs can compete at a high level – a level they will need to reach to win the district title.
