Two arrested in connection to vehicular homicide

DOVER, Del. – Two people were arrested in connection to a vehicular homicide that happened over the weekend.

Police say they responded to East Water Street, east of New Castle Avenue, at around 9 p.m. Friday. On arrival, it was learned that 32-year-old Simone Fassett hit 35-year-old Antron Raisin and another male victim with her vehicle following a dispute between both victims and Fassett’s boyfriend, Andre Singletary.

Singletary also reportedly displayed a large knife and threatened one of the victims before hitting both of them and fleeing the scene.

Officials say Raisin later died as a result of his injuries at a nearby hospital. The second victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released.

Fassett was arrested the next day without incident after the vehicle was located at a family member’s residence in Rock Hall, MD. She is currently being held at the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $20,000 secured bond on second degree vehicular homicide and second degree assault charges.

Singletary was also arrested and charged with aggravated menacing, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, reckless endangerment first degree, possession of a deadly weapon by person prohibited. He is currently being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution on $35,000 secured bond.
