People’s Community Alliance hosts one-stop shop for food giveaway
SALISBURY, Md. – Saturday, the People’s Community Alliance hosted a one-stop shop.
The pop-up food bank gave the chance for any and all residents to pick up fresh produce and frozen meat, putting food on their table with no requirements and no questions asked.
For some volunteers, the opportunity to help out those who need it most hits close to home.
“It warms my heart, because I used to struggle and I used to go to all the food banks, but now I am blessed. I get to give back, and that’s what we do,” said Donna Jones with the Salisbury Lions Club.
The People’s Community Alliance holds their one-stop shop every third Saturday of the month. For more information on their food distribution events, you can visit their facebook page.
