Waterman Appreciation Day is Sunday August 11th.

ST. MICHAELS, Md – Waterman Appreciation Day is this Sunday, The Talbot Waterman Association and the Chesapeake Maritime Museum have partnered up to host an event in honor of coastal heritage, at the Maritime Museum.

The annual celebration will kick off from 11 am to 4 pm. There will be live music, an anchor toss, and a rodeo. Children are also invited, with inflatables and aquariums for them to enjoy as well.

Talbot Waterman Association President, Jeff Harrison said he wants to make sure this event, caters to everyone. “The festival is kind of more family-oriented; they have stepped up this year as far as helping out with smaller kids.”

For safety reasons, non-service dogs must be kept at home during the festival. Carrying alcohol from a dock or land is also prohibited.
