The Ross exceeds expectations for 2024 – 2025 leasing season.

SALISBURY, Md – The Ross residential buildings were the talk of the town, after being built in the early 2020s in downtown Salisbury. After some hurdles with COVID-19 and expensive costs, it may have caught a break.

Leasing manager, Riley Lane, said it was hard to get the exposure, the residential space needed. “First, it was kind of hard getting that outreach, point of view, and getting everyone out to a tour ’cause that’s our selling point, so people can see it, so they know the luxury living we are selling.”

Around this time, last year, The Ross only filled 25% of the available spaces. This year, though the space has expanded to over 96% filled, and Community manager Allie Lane attributes the success to word of mouth and social media. She said this is only the beginning of downtown revitalization. “The ross is a symbol of progress for the downtown Salisbury area, we think it’s helped the economy by bringing a lot of residents into the downtown area, their patronizing businesses, walking to restaurants and shops downtown.”

Most residents are happy about the successes as well, Esperenza Stanley appreciates the convenience of living downtown.

“Me and my roommates Riley and roommate Kayden, we usually walk done to Mojos or Roadie Joes, to those areas, it’s very nice.”

While students can live in the complex, there are options for other people as well, including Tidal Health professionals, electricians, and workers of all backgrounds.

Salisbury, student-athlete Diego Mendez, said this is a place for everyone not just students at the university. “You are surrounded by professionals and students, and I think that’s a great space to learn and develop.” Lane, adds support to the comment, stating it would be illegal to discriminate against residency unless under contractual agreements.

“Due to fair housing laws, we are open to anyone who qualifies and wishes to live in a roommate living environment. So, there are people that come to live at the Ross, whether it’s out of town, business professionals or students, we’re open to everyone,” said Lane.

14 bedspaces are still available, if you would like to apply you can at the website here.
