Juvenile injured in grease fire in Dorchester Co.

HURLOCK, Md. – A grease fire in Hurlock sent a juvenile to the hospital Thursday afternoon.

Firefighters responded to a home at 503 South Main Street just after 4:30 p.m.Crews were able to quickly control the stovetop fire, however, a juvenile suffered third degree burns to approximately 10% of his body as a result. He was flown by Maryland State Police Aviation to the Bayview Burn Center in Baltimore for treatment.

Total damage was estimated at $6,000.
